Who was your most influential teacher and why?
Dr. Rebholz. He really helped me understand that classes can be hard but still fun and interesting. He also helped me start to get interested in economics.
What does Courage for the Deed; Grace for the Doing mean to you?
It means to be brave, believe in your friends, and speak out for your opinions.
Complete this sentence: Shipley has prepared me to…
Live life understanding that I have the ability to choose.
How did Shipley prepare you to be your best self and do your best work?
It helped me feel better about my interests and made me feel more confident in myself.
How did Shipley encourage you to take risks?
In every step of the way, there were opportunities to take risks that didn't really have major consequences. As in, if I didn’t do very well, people wouldn’t be mean to me. Shipley gave me a space to experience how it feels to take a risk.
Please write a short reflection on your time at Shipley and what it has meant to you.
It has been a wonderful four years. I met friends that I will never forget and continue to be friends with. It has given me opportunities to explore my interests in new ways.
