Secret Gardens Sponsorship

Now in its 51st year, Secret Gardens has raised over $900,000 for The Shipley School since the garden tour’s inception in 1975. While the tour is organized by Shipley parents and alumni, tickets are available to the general public. The business community plays a significant role in the event’s financial success and proceeds have enriched Shipley’s academic programs; increased tuition assistance; provided opportunities in athletics, the arts, and service programs; and made much-needed improvements to the School’s buildings and grounds.

Since 1975, Shipley has held Secret Gardens, a self-guided garden tour and luncheon on the Wednesday following Mother’s Day. This popular annual event, attended by 500-700 avid gardeners, features seven to ten unique local gardens. The garden locations are kept secret until a detailed map is shared with subscribers two weeks prior to the tour. The tour is open to the public, but tickets must be purchased in advance of the tour date.

WHERE:
The 2025 tour includes gardens located in the Main Line. Guests may also make a reservation for a seated luncheon to be hosted on Shipley's campus.
