We recognize that an independent school education is both a powerful investment in your child’s future as well as a considerable financial commitment. The Shipley School remains committed to making a Shipley education accessible to students from a range of socio-economic backgrounds.
Over $8 million dollars was awarded to approximately 38 percent of Shipley's students for the 2024-2025 school year. This financial support comes from Shipley’s endowment, gifts to the school and tuition. All awards are based on demonstrated need and are revised on an annual basis. Families of students applying to any grade are welcome to apply for tuition assistance.
In my role as Director of Enrollment Management, I get many questions from prospective parents/guardians, but the one I enjoy the most is this: “What is the value of a Shipley education vs. a public school education?” I love that question because for me, for Shipley, it’s an easy one.
