Rafa joined the Shipley community in seventh grade from T/E Middle School
Activities and Positions: Admissions Ambassador (Co-Head), Stocks and Investments Club (Treasurer), Golf (Captain), Lacrosse, Shipley Musical Theater, Model UN Club, Student Government, Shipley TV Club, Athletics Committee, Prom Committee
Favorite Club: Admissions Ambassadors because I love being able to give tours and present new students with the same things that I love about Shipley. I also love the lacrosse team because I feel like there is no bond stronger than some that I had with my teammates.
Favorite Class: I really enjoyed Macroeconomics because I love Doc and I loved my class. I had never taken this class or anything like it before. I loved that we focused on current events and got to analyze data from the real world in some of our projects and it felt more of a step into the real world than a lot of my other classes. I also loved my teacher because he challenged me and pushed me to be my best and supported me when I was confused or needed help.
Best Thing about Shipley: Super Saturday with friends. Going to Florida on the lacrosse team spring trip. Opening day for the musical.
What is one piece of advice that you would share with new students? Not every teacher or every student is going be your favorite but try and get on everyone's good side because it will be better in the long run.
