Tennis - Boys' Junior Varsity
2024 - 2025Shipley believes strongly in the values inherent in team sports and the school’s athletics program. Through these activities students learn to work with others, to trust and depend upon others, to understand the strengths and weaknesses of a group, to accept with equal grace their own mistakes and those of others, and to develop good sportsmanship and a sense of team spirit.We believe as strongly in the importance of young people playing and working with their contemporaries and in the bonds of friendship that develop through team sports. Involvement in school life beyond the classroom is an important ingredient in the total development of a student. For these reasons, students are strongly encouraged to participate in Shipley’s athletics program in Grades 9 through 12.
