We practice student-centered teaching to engage students, nurture meaningful relationships, and promote educational excellence. We see students as active learners and encourage them to develop metacognitive and critical thinking skills as they engage with complex ideas. We aim to balance appropriate challenge with individualized attention at all points in the developmental spectrum. We help students understand how ideas overlap across academic disciplines in order to make sense of the complexity of today’s world. We create opportunities for students to discover their passions as learners, take ownership of their learning process, and express themselves as learners through multiple modalities. We embrace the whole child and the cultivation of well-being through our commitment to incorporating the skills of human flourishing into our curriculum.
