Introducing the 2025 Shipley School Alumni Award Recipients

The Shipley School is proud to celebrate the achievements of our 2025 Alumni Award recipients—three distinguished individuals who embody the values of excellence, leadership, and service in their respective fields.
 
Dammun Pierce ’90 – Distinguished Alumni Award 
A leader in healthcare and medical education, Dr. Dammun Pierce serves as an Associate Professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine and Co-Director of the OB/Gyn Clinical Clerkship at Virginia Hospital Center. His dedication to addressing disparities in maternal health outcomes and mentoring future physicians exemplifies the values honored by the Distinguished Alumni Award. Read more about Dammun. 
 
Katrina "Katy" Sherrerd ’75 – Alumni Service Award 
A dedicated leader and philanthropist, Katy Sherrerd has demonstrated unwavering commitment to Shipley through her service on the Board of Trustees and Alumni Council. As Vice Chair at Research Affiliates, she has also made a lasting impact in the field of investment research. Her dedication to Shipley and its mission makes her a worthy recipient of the Alumni Service Award. Read more about Katy.
 
Tess Hart ’05 – Young Alumni Award 
Tess Hart is an entrepreneur and changemaker as co-founder and CEO of Triple Bottom Brewing, a Philadelphia-based brewery with a social mission. Through her work, including launching the Future of Service Apprenticeship, she has created opportunities for individuals impacted by the justice system and housing insecurity. Her innovation and commitment to social impact earn her the Young Alumni Award. Read more about Tess.
