Who was your most influential teacher and why?
My most influential teacher was Ms. Taylor. I was in her geometry and statistics classes. What she taught me was how to manage my own workload and time effectively. She was very hands-off, which allowed me to grow in my own responsibilities, but she was always there for me to lean on when needed.

What was your favorite class and why?
My favorite class was Macroeconomics with Doc Rebholz. It was an especially great group of people, and Doc was not only such a great teacher but also a friend. You could tell everyone was excited to be there when you walked in, and Doc was always laughing along as the lesson was taught. It was engaging, with a variety of assignments, and fun.

What was your most memorable experience at Shipley?
My most memorable experience was being in Shipley Singers. Coming together and learning songs has given me great friendships and memories that I look back on and smile. Everyone loved Mr. Casilla, and the excitement we had when a new song was introduced was unmatched.

What does Courage for the Deed; Grace for the Doing mean to you?
It means being able to achieve goals that benefit society using your skills while doing so with empathy and respectable actions.

Complete this sentence: Shipley prepared me to…
Time manage, stay confident, work well under pressure, and follow through with my responsibilities even when I don't want to.

How did Shipley prepare you to be your best self and do your best work?
Shipley prepared me with a rigorous course load that allowed me to not be shocked by the rigor of college. It taught me how to analyze and write, which is the most valuable skill I learned. I learned how to ask questions in class and not to be afraid of making a mistake or saying something incorrect.
