Who was your most influential teacher and why?
Mr. Farr, because he connects with the students. Mr. Farr teaches at a manageable pace and is incredibly understanding.
 
What was your favorite class and why?
African American Literature with Mr. Hornung, because he made the course material interesting and the class was able to bring in our personal experiences.
 
What was your most memorable experience at Shipley?
Trying track for the first time during senior year and winning the FSL championship for pole vault; also being the first outdoor pole vaulter.
 
What does Courage for the Deed; Grace for the Doing mean to you?
It means reflecting the kind nature of the Shipley community. It takes courage to do a good deed and it is important to be graceful.

To me, Shipley is all about community and "building the house." My time here has been meaningful and allowed me to develop lifelong friendships, while stepping out of my comfort zone to try new things.
