Quinn joined the Shipley community in ninth grade from Princeton Day School.
Activities and Positions: Track, Soccer, Tennis, Stock Market Club (President), DECA, Model UN
Favorite Club: Stock Market Club because it’s the only club at Shipley that teaches about financial literacy. We bring in professionals to talk about their work and inform the students on how to succeed in the business field. We have brought in professors from Villanova and Drexel, the head of the FED in Philadelphia, a real estate investor who has been named “the real estate man,” and more.
Favorite Class: I love pre-calculus because of Doc, he is a very professional teacher who teaches his subject very well and is very fun to be around. I also enjoy the English classes as the discussions are interesting. The Spanish teachers are some of the nicest teachers I’ve ever met and Mr.Simpson is a great teacher who makes every class interesting.
Best Thing about Shipley: When I think of Shipley I think about the people I have met. I think the best part of Shipley is the people you meet. The people you befriend at Shipley can help school pass by quickly and help you in the future. My best experience is playing for the soccer team and representing the badge.
What is one piece of advice that you would share with new students? Join DECA and Model UN. The two combined were one of my highlights of last year and were so fun to be a part of.
