Quinn joined the Shipley community in ninth grade from Texas.

Activities and Positions: Tennis (Captain), Squash, Global Programs (Position Chair), Admissions Ambassador, STEAM Club (Co-President)

Favorite Club: STEAM Club. Dr. Brandao is a pleasure to work with and always keeps the enthusiasm and drive for what she does strong and prominent in this club. Working with her for almost two years now, I can confidently say that being the President of this club has been exciting in terms of coming up with projects and activities for the club.

Favorite Class: Spanish V Honors was by far the most enjoyable class because of the teacher, Profe Bejar Massey, and the projects she gave us revolved around music, the modern world, technology, architecture, and literature.

Best Thing about Shipley: Opportunity. I have been saying this for a very long time as an Admissions Ambassador, and it remains true. There is always an opportunity at Shipley for students to find what they're curious about and develop their skills.

What is one piece of advice that you would share with new students? Don't be afraid to try new clubs, classes, or service opportunities, it's one of the best ways to find out you're good at managing, being part of, and organizing events that you might not have thought of before.
