Caroline joined the Shipley community in eighth grade from Valley Forge Middle School.
Activities and Positions: Field Hockey (Captain), Squash, Lacrosse, Admissions Ambassadors (Co-Head), Service and Global Programs Committee (President), ASL Club, Sprouts
Favorite Club: My favorite club is definitely the Service and Global Programs Committee. We plan all of the major school service events such as the Thanksgiving food drive and Super Saturday as well as service on a global scale. This committee makes it so easy to get involved in your community and make an impact!
Favorite Class: My favorite class at Shipley was 9th grade Honors English with Mrs. Jaffe. English has always been my favorite subject, so it was no surprise that I loved this class. We had daily class-wide discussions about the books we were reading and had a lot of fun doing it. Mrs. Jaffe helped my writing improve tremendously!
Best Thing about Shipley: When I think of Shipley, I think of the tight-knit community. Everyone is super friendly, welcoming, and willing to help you. I've met some of my best friends here!
What is one piece of advice that you would share with new students? Get involved! Whether it's trying out for a team, joining a new club, taking a challenging class, or talking to someone new. Shipley has so much to offer and you never know how much you might like something until you try it!
