Shipley Day Camp

Day Camp is now offering a Spanish Immersion Program! See below for more details.

Shipley Day Camp, established in 1985, offers a timeless day camp experience that combines arts and athletics for children entering kindergarten through fifth grade. Campers can enjoy a variety of activities, including non-competitive sports and games, creative arts and crafts, engaging science and STEM projects, and fun drama and music sessions. Each week features themed adventures such as superheroes, magical journeys, beach bashes, animal explorations, camp survivor challenges, and a grand finale centered on unlocking their creative potential.

Older campers will have the chance to embark on exciting field trips during certain weeks, while younger campers will delight in visits from special guests like magicians or zoo animals. The entire camp comes together for special events on some weeks, including carnivals and water festivals.

In addition, campers swim twice a week at the Bryn Mawr College pool, just a short five-minute walk from camp. Swimming sessions are organized into two groups—grades K-2 and grades 3-5—with certified lifeguards ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Nikki Wiseman, current fourth-grade teacher, is the Camp Director. If you have any specific questions about the Day Camp, please contact her at nwiseman@shipleyschool.org.

Give your child the gift of language in a fun, exciting, and immersive summer experience! Our Spanish Immersion Summer Camp is designed for kids going kindergarten through third grade and provides a playful, hands-on environment where children will learn Spanish naturally through play, including games, crafts, songs, outdoor adventures, and much more! Children will build confidence in listening, understanding and speaking Spanish through routines and activities. They will also learn about the rich cultures of Spanish-speaking countries through fun activities like dancing, cooking, and celebrating traditional holidays. Spanish immersion will happen each morning and children in the program will join the larger camp for afternoon activities. They will also enjoy swimming and whole camp events. The Spanish Immersion Summer Program tuition is the same as the regular camp. Any families who have already signed up for camp can contact Nikki Wiseman directly to switch to the Spanish program.
