Annual Giving

The Annual Fund provides significant and essential yearly revenue to The Shipley School’s operating budget. After tuition, Annual Fund contributions are the single largest source of yearly income for the School, and Shipley’s continued financial health is dependent on the success of the yearly Annual Fund effort.

Annual Fund contributions to Shipley range from $5 to $50,000, and all members of the Shipley community—parents, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, faculty and staff, and other friends—are asked to participate in making a gift each year. Each Annual Fund year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30.

Annual Fund gifts support all areas of the School, and are unrestricted in nature so that the contributions can be used where they are most urgently needed. The largest area supported by the Annual Fund is faculty and staff salaries, benefits, and professional development. Other significant areas affected by Annual Fund gifts are academic, athletic, and arts programs; financial aid; and facilities maintenance. Your gift is allocated to the following areas:
